Beyond the Frame, in partnership with the Black Cultural Society of PEI, presents a special community screening of Bam Bam: The Sister Nancy Story, a powerful documentary celebrating the life, legacy, and global influence of reggae icon Sister Nancy, the first woman to record a dancehall DJ album.

The evening begins with a film screening, offering audiences a deeper look into Black music history, its cultural impact, and the contributions of women to reggae and dancehall.

Following the film, guests are invited to stay for a post-screening mixer featuring old-school reggae and dancehall music, creating space to connect, reflect, and celebrate together.

Free food will be provided, with prize giveaways throughout the night, making the event both a cultural experience and a joyful community gathering. This event centers Black storytelling, music, and connection, and is open to all who wish to celebrate Black history through film, sound, and shared space.

This Screening is made possible with support from CISF Connect (Canadian Independent Screen Fund)
